Monoethylene Glycol (MEG) is primarily used as a key ingredient in making polyester fibers for textiles and PET plastics for bottles/packaging, but also excels as a coolant/antifreeze due to its freezing point depression, used in de-icing, heat transfer fluids (HVAC, chillers), and natural gas hydrate prevention, acting as a solvent/humectant in paints, inks, adhesives, and textiles.
